Deemed too controversial for our Nation’s
capital 2002 “Party Animals” display, PeTA
had to sue the D.C. Commission on the Arts
and Humanities for not allowing the “Ella
PhantzPeril” sculpture to be shown. Never one
to censor good art, A Bitchin’ Space displayed
the piece, designed by New Yorker cover artist
and cartoonist Harry Bliss, for the first time on
the West coast.
