    The 2nd Annual Circus Show & Other
    Atrocities is an attempt to juxtapose the dark,
    painful lives of performing animals with the
    fun, amusing atmosphere of the carnival.

    Curator and artist Gale Hart brings together
    performers and visual artists to create a
    unique and powerful event. The artwork is
    juried or by invitation only to maintain a
    specific caliber of art and performances.
    Last year’s event brought 800 people to
    A Bitchin’ Space.
Some of the highlights from last’ years event included 30 artists’ individual works that
together created a circus train, an artist-made carousel and midway games, as well as a
host of local musicians and performers that showed their talent by creating acts themed for
this event only. The show will be held in September 2008.
